WHAT ARE ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS & HOW DO THEY WORK?
Anti-wrinkle injections smooth out frown lines and wrinkles by relaxing the facial muscles and preventing them from contracting. They can also be used as a preventive measure and offers you a smooth, fresh and rejuvenated complexion by combating issues such as crow's feet lines around the eyes, forehead lines and frown lines. Our anti wrinkle treatments stop fine lines forming initially and getting worse. At DermEthics we use the licensed product Botox for anti-wrinkle treatments.
DERMAL FILLERS
In addition to our anti aging treatments, we also offer dermal filler injections. A safer and more natural alternative to liquid paraffin, silicone and collagen predecessors, dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid. This naturally occurring component of skin which reduces with age. Dermal fillers range from lip fillers to cheek fillers and replace lost hyaluronic acid which rejuvenates and enhances the skin's appearance.

WHAT CAN ANTI WRINKLE INJECTIONS TARGET?
Commonly anti wrinkle injections are used to treat wrinkles, however, it can also be used as a treatment for bunny lines (the scrunch lines either side of your nose), a dimpled chin, teeth grinding, jaw clenching, a downturned smile, a gummy smile and can also be used for excessive armpit sweating.
We can also help to combat issues with muscle stiffness, uncontrollable blinking and migraines with our treatments.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT LAST?
You will start to see signs of the results of your anti wrinkle treatment by the 5 day mark, with the full results expected at two weeks post treatment. For treatments in preparation for a special event, we advise a booking of no less than one month before the day. This allows us to create the optimal result you desire, as it provides time for a two week 'top up', if necessary.
The lasting results of your anti-wrinkle treatment will differ between individuals and can be dependent on your skin type. We see results last approximately three months on average, with timescales between two - six months. For anti-sweating treatments we see results last longer, with a longevity of four - six months.
HOW DO ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENTS WORK?
They work by stopping the chemical messenger acetylcholine being produced. Acetylcholine is released by the nerve to signal a muscle to contract. By blocking the signal the muscle is unable to contract and pull on the skin. We only use the licensed product Botox for our treatments.
